Flowers in a Blue Vase

This 1950 oil painting was the original palette knife picture done on color television for RCA at NBC studio 3H during the battle of the networks for the color TV license.   The producer was Vance Halleck and the director was Warren Jacobs. The viewers were the Federal Communications authorities who would judge from Washington D.C.   RCA eventually won out from CBS because their system proved superior.
