The Anvil

Jon Gnagy often spoke of himself as a “blacksmith of art” and felt that he was more of a journeyman than a master.

After he moved to California, Jon prepared a set of desert lithographs and included one of “The Anvil.”

In a way, this painting was a totem for the artist, and he etched “JON” on the head of the hammer.
